U-21’s v Claremorris – Brennan Cup
Davitts U-21 team travelled the short journey to Claremorris and defeated their close rivals 1-9 to 0-9 in the Brennan Cup semi-final on Tuesday evening. The teams were tied 0-3 apiece at half time but a goal and a point by the impressive Richie Kilkenny in the first two minutes of the second half swayed the game in Davitts favour. Davitts had star performances from Paddy Kirrane, Johnno Clarke, Kieran Mooney, Keith Prendergast, Richie Kilkenny, man of the match the outstanding Fergal McGrath and Michael Waldron in what was a very good team display, while young substitute Darren Connolly showed why he will be a force to be reckoned with a confident second half display.
