U-16s v Carras – Match Report
Davitts hosted Carras in the South Mayo U-16 B Semi-Final and the homeside produced a strong performance to win by 5-14 to 1-7.The Davitts attack impressed, especially in the first half, with all six getting on the scoresheet.
Davitts led by 2-10 to 0-3 at the break with Jack Devane and Joe Prendergast getting the goals and Fentan Kelly, Bon Glynn, Joe Prendergast, Niall Treacy and Jack Devane (6) shooting the points.
Carras came more into the game after the restart but further goals from Niall Treacy, Bon Glynn and Joe Prendergast killed the contest off completely. Jack Devane (2), Cathal Corless and Zack Keadin pointed to give the homeside a handsome nineteen point victory.
Davitts defending was very impressive led by Sean Feerick, Thomas Ronayne and Jack Trench. Fentan Kelly and John Wallace worked tirelessly at midfield while the attack displayed great teamwork and worked some very impressive scores.
