U-16s v Ballinrobe – Match Report
Davitts U-16 team played Ballinrobe in the League in Ballindine on Sunday and the the game ended up all square after a thrilling hour of football. A brilliant comeback by the visitors who scored 2-2 without reply in the closing minutes gave them what up to that looked like an unlikely share of the spoils.
Some of the attacking play from both sides was top class with Fenton Kelly, Niall Treacy and Jack Devane very impressive for Davitts. Joe Prendergast pulled of some fine saves in goals and Thomas Ronayne, Fionan Gallagher and Oisin O Connor defended well while Stephen Nyland and Sean Feerick formed an effective midfield partnership.
