U-16’s off to winning start
Davitts U-16 team got their county league Division 2 campaign off to a terrific start with a 3-12 to 0-9 victory over St. Gerards in Ballindine on Sunday. Davitts started slowly, with the assistance of the stiff wind, but two late first half goals from Cathal Hennelly and Tommy Waldron swung the game firmly in the homeside’s favour. St.Gerards came more into the game in the second half but a third Davitts goal by Gerard Griffin finished the game off. Best for Davitts were Michael Mangan, John Huane, William Freeley, Liam Noone, Michael Clarke, Gerard Griffin, Tommy Charles, Tommy Waldron and Cathal Hennelly.
