Davitts 7-14  Bonniconlon 6-10

Davitts U-15s hosted Bonniconlon in the Championship on Tuesday evening and they played out an entertaining game with the home side emerging victorious. In Aaron O Dea and Aaron CB up front Davitts possessed two lethal finishers and, with Tadhg Feerick, Noah O Brien, Dylan Gormally and Sean Clarke also in top form, Davitts have secured a semi-final spot before they play Islandeady in the final round robin game.

Tadhg Feerick with three points and Odhran O Conaire set Davitts on their way with early points. Goals from Aaron O Dea (2) and a goal and three points from Aaron CB saw Davitts lead by 3-7 to 1-5 at halftime.

The visitors were much improved in the second half but Davitts always managed to keep them at arm’s length. Bonniconlon breached the Davitts defence for five second half goals which will worry the Davitts management team of Pat Kearns, Joe O Dea and Michael Waldron. Davitts however stayed ahead with Aaron O Dea bagging 3-3, Aaron CB 1-3 and Peter Kilkenny 0-1 in the second half to see the homeside through by seven points.
