Davitts U-14 team put on an excellent display of attacking football as they overwhelmed Ardnaree in Ballindine on Thursday evening in Division 4 of the League. The final score was 3-17 to 0-4.
It was all one way traffic in the first half with the Davitts attack linking up admirably and they helped themselves to a 2-12 to 0-0 lead at the break. Stephen Rattigan and Jack Trench grabbed the two goals while the very impressive Niall Treacy (0-5), Jack Devane (0-3), Jack Trench (0-2), Joe Prendergast (0-1) and midfielder Fenton Kelly (0-1) notched the first half points.

Davitts added points from Zack Keadin (0-1), Niall Treacy (0-2), Jack Devane (0-1) and the lively Davy Hennessy (0-1) to complete their tally.
Goalkeeper Gavin Ring was confident in goals with the powerful John John Wallace, Brian Og McTigue, Fionan Gallagher, Thomas Ronayne, Michael Hett and the assured Charlie Phillips forming a solid defensive unit. Sean Feerick and Fenton Kelly worked tirelessly at midfield. Up front the half forward line of Zack Keadin, Jack Devane and man of the match Niall Treacy ran riot while inside them Jack Trench was another thorn for the Ardnaree defence with Stephen Rattigan and Joe Prendergast showing some fine touches too. Davy Hennessy, Brian Bermingham, Dylan Walsh and Tristan Diskin did well when sprung from the bench.
