Gaeil Na Daibheidí 13-25  Westport B 0-1

The Westport B U-14 team came to Ballindine on Monday evening but were soundly beaten by GND in Div 4 of the league. The Davitts/Mayo Gaels combination were completely on top throughout and although the Westport lads fought bravely right up to the final whistle, nothing went their way on this occasion.

GND had built up an 8-11 to 0-0 lead at the halfway stage with Blake Bradley (4-3), Niall McDermott (1-1), Cormac Devane (1-2), Seamie Roche (1-1), Tadhg Kirrane (0-2), Conal Boyle (1-0), Luke Roche (0-1) and Conor Walsh (0-1) the scorers. At the back, the home team defended very well with Cathal Commins and Tom Roche in great form, well supported by Nathan Turner, Joe Trench, Jack Duggan, Ruari O Dea and Tom Diskin. Midfielders Cormac Devane and Sean Prendergast ensured a liberal supply of ball to the lethal forward-line.

Gaeil Na Daibheidí were able to run their bench and the subs Tom Hyland, Kaden Heneghan, Carraig Kilkenny, Markuss Visnevskis and the very impressive Luke Roche all did well. Westport scored early in the second half but GND powered on and they added on a series of scores from Niall McDermott (1-3), Luke Roche (1-3), flying wing-back Jack Duggan (1-2), Conal Boyle (0-2), Tadhg Kirrane (1-1), Cormac Devane (0-1), Blake Bradley (0-1), Seamie Roche (0-1) and Tom Diskin (1-0), to win emphatically.
