U-13’s capture South Mayo C Title
Davitts U-13 team captured the South Mayo C title recently, defeating The Neale by 1-7 to 1-4 in the final. Davitts led by 0-3 to 0-1 at the interval and a goal by Jamie Mullee early in the second half gave them a cushion that they needed as The Neale boys staged a late rally to narrow the gap to three points in the end.
Caolan Mullee was in top form in goals while Ryan McLoughlin, Kieran Fahy and Francis Griffin defended superbly. Team captain Kieran Waldron (0-3) and Evan Ronayne held the upperhand at midfield while Daniel Huane (0-2), Aidan Macken and Jack Ronayne did well in attack. Substitutes Kelan Cosgrove (0-1) and Jamie Mullee (1-1) made notable contributions while Cian Treacy and Cathal Moran also played their part in this victory. Well done boys.
