Seniors v Burrishoole – Match Report
Davitts Senior team collected two valuable Div 1B League points when defeating Burrishoole by 3-14 to 1-10 in sun drenched Newport on Saturday evening. Three early goals by Cathal Hennelly, Michael Waldron and Ronan McNamara set the foundations for this win. Burrishoole battled back gamely and only trailled by three points, 3-5 to 1-8 at half time.
Davitts looked very comfortable in the second half with the excellent Cathal Higgins, Padraig Mangan and Colm Roche in superb form in defence. Declan Healy had a fine game at midfield alongside the impressive Ronan McNamara while Cathal Hennelly, Andy Peters, Liam Kearns and Evan Ronayne were in lethal form up front.
