Profile – Delaware County Gaels
The Delaware County Gaels is a Youth GAA club in Philadelphia, a Division of the North America County Board. The club was founded in 1995 to promote Gaelic Games to the youth of Delaware County, a suburb of Philadelphia. Children of Irish heritage were the first members of the club but the club has grown beyond the Irish community and attracts players of all ethnicities. Current membership is over 200 players from age 6 to 18. The club has boys and girls football, hurling, and camogie teams that compete in the Philadelphia Division. The teams also participate in many tournaments, especially the Continental Youth Championships which attracts teams from all over the US and Canada each year.
Our team has had much success and is excited about participating in Feile 2014. This will be our sixth time competing in Feile Peil na nOg.
