Hugely committed half back who just loves playing for his club. He has been a regular on the Davitts first team for the last ten years. Always gives 100% in matches and consequently has suffered numerous injuries in his career. James is a very effective player who reads the game well and models his own game on Cork’s outstanding wing back Noel O Leary, his favourite player. He claims to have taught Colm Boyle everything he knows about the finer points of wing back play.
There is nothing James enjoys better than a bit of hammering and nailing as he works as a carpenter, specialising in roofing (although he has recently turned his hand to plumbing).
In his spare time James is an avid fan of the The Jeremy Kyle show on TV and the music of Papa Roach….
