Rochie has been a fantastic servant to Davitts club for decades. A former Mayo senior star who’s tough no nonsense style of play has earned him great respect throughout the county and indeed further afield. Alan is an enthusiastic trainer and a keen timekeeper. He took a three year break from football in 2008 (also called retirement) but was thankfully persuaded back by Pete Warren and is arguably playing the best football of his career now. If he steers clear from injury there’s plenty of football life left in this old dog. In his spare time there’s nothing Alan enjoys better than chasing cattle around the plains of Kilvine or relaxing with a Smirnoff Ice in Bourkes of Irishtown.
