New website tailored specifically for GAA players and coaches

www.totalgaacoach.com is a new website that has been set up to aid in the coaching process across all areas of Gaelic Games.

The Core Aims of the site are:

1 – To provide a library of world class information on coaching, strength & conditioning, nutrition, sports psychology, rehabilitation and all performance areas related to the GAA. We want this information to be easy to understand so coaches, players, parents etc can access the site, educate and inform themselves of current best practice in all these areas.

2 – To develop a network of solid practitioners throughout the country that coaches, players and parents can access, trust and be looked after in a very professional manner. We have heard too many horror stories of players young and old being asked to do certain things which are not beneficial to their playing careers and we want to help educate and eradicate such things.

3 – To provide an all access forum where anyone can look for information and be advised in terms of training, rehab, nutrition etc so that they can make an educated and informed decision in relation to their queries.

4 – Our contributors are people currently working in professional sport and with county and club teams all over Ireland and we want to bring this practical experience to the site to help develop standards of coaching at every level.

5 – To give people an insight to player preparation at county level through diaires, interviews and information provided by the players competing at this level.

6 – To establish a directory of Football, Hurling, Camogie and Handball drills that can be utilised by club coaches and players to get the most benefit from training sessions.

The website has been setup by three members of Ballaghaderreen GAA Club, Andy Moran, Barry Solan and James Quinn.

Andy Moran – Mayo Senior Footballer

Barry Solan – Strength and Conditioning Specialist currently working with the Laois Senior Football Team.
