Mr. Claremorris – tut tut tut
Congratulations (?) to Davitts senior player Liam Kearns who scooped the prestigious (?) Mr. Claremorris title in the Dalton Inn on Friday night. Representing the Porterhouse, Liam didn’t let down its proprietor James Cummins who was understandably very emotional when the result was announced. James had Liam well turned out for the occasion, and credit must also go to his team of mentors including James Kilkenny, Padraig Moran and Tommy Brogan, who had Liam well primed to deliver an outstanding performance on the night. Liam said afterwards that he had always dreamt of entering Mr. Claremorris and will wear the sash with pride in the coming months. Unfortunately no member of Liam’s family was available for comment afterwards…
