Minors v Islandeady – Match Report
Davitts minor team made it two wins from two matches in Div 4 of the League, after a 1-14 to 0-5 away win over Islandeady on Friday evening. Davitts had led by 0-7 to 0-4 after a closely fought first half with Stephen Nyland (0-4), Jack Devane (0-2) and Daniel Corless the scorers.
A second half goal by Niall Treacy put the game beyond Islandeady’s reach. Stephen Nyland (0-3), Fenton Kelly (0-1), Cathal Corless (0-1), Bon Glynn (0-1) and Jack Devane (0-1) completed Davitts second half tally after a very solid team display.
There were fine individual performances from Thomas Ronayne, Gary Bourke, Oisin O Connor, Fenton Kelly, Stephen Nyland, Niall Treacy and Jack Devane.
