Davitts 1-10 Parke Keelogues Crimlin 1-18
Parke Keelogues Crimlin minor team were the visitors to Davitt Park on Tuesday evening in division 2 of the minor league and, after a superb exhibition of shooting, they left with the two points. This was a very entertaining game with attacking football the priority for both sides.
Aaron CB, who had an excellent game, opened the scoring with a first minute point for the home side. The visitors equalised in the 7th minute but Ronan Kelly pointed to restore the lead for Davitts two minutes later. PKC points in the 9th, 16th and 22nd minutes put them two ahead but Dylan Burke narrowed the gap with a neat point in the 23rd minute. A PKC point in the 24th minute was followed by a brilliant goal for the home team with Aaron CB finishing emphatically after great play by Sean Clarke. PKC replied with two well taken points and a goal of their own to lead by 1-8 to 1-4 at the break.
The visitors took over in the third quarter, outscoring Davitts by 0-9 to 0-1, Aaron CB getting the Davitts score. The home side kept plugging away and points from Aaron CB, Tadhg Feerick and Fionn McTigue narrowed the deficit to nine points. The visitors pointed again in the 60th minute with Davitts adding two points to their tally in injury time from the boots of Ronan Kelly and Fionn McTigue.
Best for Davitts were the lion-hearted Tadhg Feerick, Ben Corless, Sean Clarke, Noah O Brien, Fionn McTigue and Aaron CB.
