Juniors v Moy Davitts – Match Report
Davitts Juniors travelled to Foxford on Saturday and defeated Moy Davitts by two points, 1-12 to 2-7, in Div 1D of the Mayo Senior League. Davitts played very well in this game but two goals in the last five minutes from the never say die homeside left the Davitts lads hanging on at the end.
Davitts led by 0-7 to 0-4 at the break with Luke and Michael Ronayne, Martin Cosgrove, William Freeley, Carlos O’Gara, Aidan McTigue and Shane Treacy showing impressive form in what was an all round good team display. An early second half goal from Davitts impressive sub Liam Noone after great work by Michael Clarke gave the visitors a nice cushion which they protected well until the last few minutes.
