Juniors v Kilmeena – Match Report
Davitts Junior team were well beaten by an impressive Kilmeena side in Ballindine on Sunday in the Senior League Division 1D clash. Kilmeena were on top from the start and raced into a 1-5 to 0-0 lead after ten minutes before Evan Ronayne opened Davitts account with a fine point. Darren Connolly added Davitts only other first half score as the visitors led by 1-12 to 0-2 at the break.
Davitts showed character in the second half with Donal Ronayne, JP Kirrane, Martin Cosgrove, Micheal Mangan, Seamus Roche, Matthew Trench and Gerald Griffin working hard, but the final scoreline of 1-17 to 0-9 was, in truth, a fair reflection of the proceedings.
