Davitts Junior team made the short journey to Brickens and made short work of their hosts, defeating Eastern Gaels by 1-11 to 0-8, on Sunday evening, in the league. This game marked the eagerly awaited comeback of Fionan Moran and he performed superbly alongside man of the match Colm Roche on the halfbackline. Others to catch the eye in this game were midfielders Shane Mitchell and John Heneghan, veteran goalkeeper Mark Diskin, Liam Kearns, Seamus Roche, David Cosgrove and Richie Kilkenny.
