Crossmolina came to Ballindine on Sunday and defeated Davitts by six points in this Senior League Div 1D clash. First half injuries to three Davitts forwards, Liam Kearns, Shane Mitchell and Liam Noone did not help their cause but Crossmolina were full value for their win.
The visitors were ahead by 1-5 to 0-5 at halftime, with Davitts scores coming from Liam Kearns (2), Liam Noone (2) and JP Kirrane. Sean Waldron, Matthew Trench (2), Carlos O’Gara and Richie Kilkenny all pointed in the second half but Crossmolina proved to be too strong.
Best for Davitts were Kevin Gallagher, Martin Cosgrove, James Cummins, JP Kirrane, Matthew Trench and Johnno Clarke.
