Juniors v Claremorris–SMJC – Match Report
Claremorris and Davitts met in the South Mayo Junior Championship in Claremorris on Wednesday evening with the homeside coming out on top by 1-10 to 1-5 after an entertaining game played in difficult wet conditions.
Davitts had the better of the exchanges in the first half and had built up a four point lead before two late points by the homeside left Davitts ahead by 1-4 to 0-5 at halftime. Richie Kilkenny was a constant threat up front for Davitts and he scored 1-1 in that first half with Clive Hennigan slotting over three points.
Scores were hard to come by in the second period as Claremorris dominated the possession.
