Juniors v Breaffy – Match Report
An understrength Davitts B team lost their unbeaten league run in Breaffy on Sunday when beaten, 2-8 to 0-9, by Breaffy B. Davitts started off the better and but for some wayward shooting would have been much further ahead at half time. Davitts did lead by 0-5 to 0-1 at the break but the dismissal of JP Kirrane after twelve minutes didn’t help their cause.
In the second half Breaffy used their numerical advantage to good effect and scored two killer goals. Davitts fought hard right up to the finish and James Cummins, Martin Cosgrove, Mark Ronayne, Pat Coyne, Tommy Mitchell, Josh Ronayne, Liam Kearns and Carlos O Gara took the game to Breaffy while goalkeeper David Mitchell also impressed, but the home team ran out deserving winners.
