Girls U-16 v Claremorris – Match Report
Davitts U-16 girls had a comprehensive 3-22 to 0-3 victory over neighbours Claremorris in their first league game played in Claremorris on Sunday evening. Davitts, playing into the wind in the first half, led by 2-4 to 0-3 at halftime, and their better balanced team assumed total control of the game in the second half. This was an excellent all round team effort with all of the girls contributing to the win.
Davitts team: Clara Higgins, Aoife McWalter, Catherine Prendergast, Aoife Ronayne, Aisling Connor (0-2), Marie Corless, Laura Waldron, Sarah Peters (1-3), Laura Corless, Chloe Dixon, Emma Nyland, Michele Waldron (0-3), Roisin Kearns, Chloe Stephens (1-8), Ruth Kearns (1-5). Subs used: Cara Sheridan (0-1), Kathleen Kearns.
