Davitts v Kilmaine – Secondary League
Davitts remain unbeaten in the Intermediate Secondary League, after defeating old rivals Kilmaine by 0-11 to 0-5, in Garrymore on Saturday. The excellent fielding of midfielder Ronan McNamara ensured a liberal supply of ball to the forwardline, while the entire Davitts defence, superbly marshalled by centre back Colm Boyle, defended as if their lives depended on it, making life very difficult for the Kilmaine attackers. Davitts, who led by 0-7 to 0-3 at halftime, had other star performers in Keith Glynn, Aidan McTigue and veteran full forward Dave McDonagh.
