Davitts v Kilalla – Secondary League
Davitts travelled to Killala for their first match in their defence of the Michael Walsh Intermediate League title on Saturday, and emerged victors over the homeside on a 1-17 to 0-12 scoreline. Davitts led by 1-8 to 0-8 at halftime, Aidan McTigue the goalscorer, but the result was in doubt until the last ten minutes, when Davitts pulled away from their hosts. Best for Davitts on this occasion were Tommy Nolan, Kevin Gallagher, Colm Boyle, Colm Roche, Paul Carey, Aidan McTigue, Dave McDonagh and Michael Conroy.
