Davitts v Burrishoole – Senior League Division 1B
Burrishoole showed why they are league toppers and favourites for the intermediate championship with a 0-9 to 0-7 victory over Davitts in Div 1B of the senior league in Ballindine on Friday evening. The sides were level at half time, 0-4 apiece, in this physical game but Burrishoole’s greater attacking threat won it for them in the second half. Davitts had three outstanding defenders in Colm Boyle, Tommy Nolan and James Cummins, who shipped some very heavy hits. Ronan McNamara had his usual fine game at midfield while up front Aidan McTigue and Colm Roche battled hard and David McDonagh helped himself to four good points from play.
