Davitts Social – Review
Davitts GAA Club held a very successful and enjoyable Social in Bourke’s on Tuesday night. Medal presentations were made to the intermediate team (Michael Walsh League Winners) and the Under-21’s (Brennan Cup Winners). Player of the year awards went to Colm Boyle (intermediate), Johnno Clarke (U-21) and Mark Diskin (junior). John A. Noone was a very popular recipient of the Clubman of the year award while former great, the legendary Tom Carey entered the club’s Hall of Fame.
Liam Griffin just pipped Ronan McNamara, Pat Moran, Keith Glynn, Frank Clarke and Michael Mooney Snr. as the night’s best male dancer while Gretta McManus retained the female version, fending off the strong challenge of Olive Treacy, Bernie Stephens, Rose Kearns and birthday girl Marian McHugh. Ronan Kirrane was an almost flawless MC while star senior player Frankie Barrett could only look on in admiration as dad PJ played music to please all tastes. Thanks to Sean Bourke and his efficient staff for their sterling work throughout the night.
A selection of photo’s from the night will be posted in the coming days…
