The O Mara Cup begins on Sunday Feb 17th with Davitts playing away to Garrymore at 12pm.
We are at home to Shrule Glencorrib on Sunday Feb 24th and our final group game is also at home, on Sunday March 3rd, when we take on Claremorris.
Davitts GAA Club will hold an awards presentation night on Saturday 9th February in The Borderline, Ballindine. The 2018 Players of the year at Senior, Junior and U-21 level, Clubperson of the Year and the latest addition to the Hall of Fame will be announced.
The special guest will be Corofin and Galway’s ace attacker and current All-Star, Ian Burke, a past pupil of Ballindine National School.
The fun begins at 9pm…
The draw for the groupings in this year’s O Mara Cup competition was made last week.
Group 1 consists of Kilmaine, The Neale, Ballinrobe, Hollymount Carramore and Mayo Gaels.
Group 2 will be contested by Claremorris, Garrymore, DAVITTS and Shrule Glencorrib.
The first round of matches will be played on Feb 16th/17th and the competition will be run off over five weeks culminating in the final (winner group 1 v winner group 2) on March 23rd/24th.
Mayo GAA are on the lookout for new football & hurling referees for 2019.
